(i) Describe the origin, growth and status of distance education in India.
(ii) What do you understand by multiple media approach to open and distance learning? Explain the importance of media integration in development of self-learning (self-instructional) materials.
(iii) Identify the major problems associated with effective delivery of distance education programmes, with special reference to student support structure/services. Offer your suggestions, with examples, for addressing each of the identified problems.
